Hi everyone. Today I was reading a post by a fellow blogger who blogs about sewing. The blog is called> Gertie's New Blog for Better Sewing.

This is a really cute blog. This blogger is doing a project similar to the movie Julie and Julia where Julie cooks up Julia Child's recipes from an old cooking book. In this blog, Gertie is sewing all the projects from an old sewing book.

I haven't posted in awhile. Sorry. But I just had to today when I read about Brother's new sewing software called BES Embroidery Lettering Software.

You have got to see this software. It allows you to embroider entire poems, or birth or wedding announcements without all the hassle of trying to measure everything accurately. There is also 156 built - in fonts and something called built - in recipes.

The built-in recipes allow you to change the machine format and also the fabric type. If you are doing two different types of projects on different weight fabrics, for example a lightweight scarf and a heavier canvas tote bag, you can easily change things with a few clicks.

That is a tremendous advantage and makes things much easier. After all, this blog is all about Easy Machine Embroidery.

I don't know about you, but I love to check out the new sewing machines.

I dream of sewing all the beautiful things I have ever wanted to create. If I had the money, I'd buy one of those fancy machines in a minute.

There is good news for those of us who live on a budget. Check out the deals available on ebay for new and used sewing machines.

Because of the economy, there are many nice used machines on the market.

I personally love the Brother Innovis Sewing/Embroidery Machines. There are some great used machines on ebay. However, it is important to pay attention when buying a used machine. Read the ad thoroughly and check the shipping costs before you bid. Also, please make sure to purchase a warranty through Square Trade.

If anything goes wrong, they will repair your machine or you will get your money back. I highly recommend Square Trade warranties. I have purchased two so far and the prices are very reasonable.

There are also great bargain on new sewing machines. I always recommend purchasing from a powerseller. They pay attention to their businesses and want great feedback from you.

I always say buy new if you can, but if you find a great deal on a used machine and everything looks good (check out how many bids are on the item - lots of bids is a good sign) then purchase the machine and buy a Square Trade warranty immediatedly after purchase.
